Where can I find my membership number? Your membership number is located on the bottom line of your membership card and in the upper left-hand corner of the address label on your magazine.

How do I update my contact information? You have the following options for changing and modifying information previously provided.

How can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time. However, a refund will be given only on the period left on your membership. Please contact memberservices@canadashistory.ca.

How many copies per subscription can I order?
You can order as many copies per subscription as you like, however, on our website at this time, it is only possible to order one copy per subscription. To order a multi-copy subscription to the same address, simply call us or send an email or fax to indicate that you ordered one copy online but wish to multiply the amount. Please provide us with your name and address so we can match the orders.

Can the magazine be delivered to an address that is different from my billing address?
Yes.

When will I receive my first issue of the magazine?
Your first issue will arrive 6–8 weeks after your order is received. Each subsequent issue delivery is timed for the first of the month for that issue, but may arrive a few days earlier or later. For example, your December/January issue should arrive within the first week of December.

How do I order a gift subscription?
You can order a gift subscription online or directly through Member Services.

Can you send the gift announcement card to me instead of to the recipient?
Gift announcement cards are included with the first gift renewal notice. You can also download a gift announcement card in the My Account section.

Can I designate which month or issue I would like to start my subscription/gift?
Subscriptions usually begin with the next available issue, however, you can contact memberservices@canadashistory.ca and inform them of your preference.

How do you ship my magazine?
The magazine is shipped as Publications Mail via Canada Post.

What should I do if I don't receive my magazine?
Call Member Services at 1.888.816.0997 or 905.946.8790, or email us at memberservices@canadashistory.ca for assistance. Please provide us with your subscription/membership number for a faster tracking response.

Will I have to renew my subscription when it expires?
We are pleased to offer an Auto Renewal option. If you indicate that you would like Auto Renewal, we will automatically send you the first issue of your renewal subscription followed by an invoice. This option saves time, money and the environment by eliminating multiple renewal notice mailings prior to your expiration. You also have the choice of renewing online; notifying us each time you want to renew your subscription via email at memberservices@canadashistory.ca; or by mailing/faxing in your renewal notice.

Will I get a renewal notice when my subscription expires?
If you have opted for Auto Renewal you will receive an invoice for payment only. Those who do not choose Auto Renewal will receive their renewal notices starting three months prior to expiration.

Who receives the renewal notice for a gift subscription?
Donors will receive a renewal notice for the gift subscription three months before it expires. If the gift subscription is not renewed, a renewal will be sent to the recipient one month after the subscription expires.

What if I need to cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. However, a refund will only apply to the unused portion of your subscription. Please contact memberservices@canadashistory.ca.

Is there a French-language version of Canada's History?
The only issues available in French are the February/March 2008 "Quebec at 400," the Autumn 2011 "300 ans d'histoire," and the February/March 2012 "Aider les nations." These can be purchased via our online store.

Is there a French-language version of Kayak: Canada's History Magazine for Kids?
The French version of Kayak is published five times/year and appears in Les Débrouillards as a stapled-in supplement. If you don't already subscribe to Les Débrouillards, please visit their website.

Is there a large print version of Canada's History?
No, we do not publish a large print version of Canada's History.

Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled prior to shipment by contacting memberservices@canadashistory.ca as soon as possible. If it is too late to cancel because your order has been shipped, then Return Policy must be followed.

What if my order arrives damaged?
Sometimes goods may sustain minor damage during shipping or contain other small defects. This is very rare; however, if your item is damaged in any way, please contact us immediately. If it is replaceable, we will send you an identical replacement.

How long do I have to return an item?
You may return any damaged item within 21 days of receipt of your order. Go to Return Policy for details.

Be sure to retain your shipping receipt when returning merchandise to the History Society. In the event that the History Society does not receive your return shipment, your receipt will be recognized as proof that you returned all or part of your order.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We also accept cheques and money orders; however, those options are not available online. If you wish to pay by cheque or money order you may send your order and payment to Member Services PO Box 118, Station Main, Markham, Ontario, L3P 3J5.

How do I know that my credit information is secure?
Your privacy is our first concern. We have gone to great lengths to ensure that every exchange of personal information is safe. Please read our Privacy Policy and put your mind at ease. If you still feel uncomfortable about buying on the Internet, you may contact us at 1.888.816.0997, or locally at 905.946.8790, and speak to Member Services.

Will I have to fill in my financial and personal information every time I want to buy something on your site?
Yes, financial information will need to be entered every time you make a purchase on our site. As part of our security policy, we do not save your financial information from past transactions.
